Through an exploratory process Loom II (or when you lick the back of my knees it creates vast holes in the fabric of time), investigates how a device can engender an experience and how that experience might imbue the individual with knowledge and a greater perception of the internal self cocooned within an external world. The work is a practice, an opportunity to obliterate the external and allow for a reflective immersion that observes the passing of time. It is a self-imposed discipline, an épreuve, a method to test endurance, a submission to practice, and a means through which to observe one’s self.
